Texturize single walls (Standard method)<\/h4>\n<p>To prevent the program from automatically texturing all walls of a floor at the same time, use the <code>CTRL<\/code> key on your keyboard:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Procedure:<\/strong> Open the texture catalog (e.g., <code>Catalog<\/code> &gt; <code>Textures<\/code> &gt; <code>Materials<\/code>).<\/li>\n<li><strong>[02:00]<\/strong> <strong>Entire floor:<\/strong> Drag the texture with the left mouse button onto a wall (all walls of the floor will change).<\/li>\n<li><strong>[03:09]<\/strong> <strong>Single wall:<\/strong> Hold down the <strong><code>CTRL<\/code> key<\/strong> while dragging the texture with the left mouse button onto the specific wall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>2. Texturize parts of a wall (using surface elements)<\/h4>\n<p>For accents on a wall (e.g., a tile backsplash or a color field), it is recommended to place individual 3D surfaces, which are sensibly stored on their own layer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>[04:22]<\/strong> <strong>Preparation:<\/strong> Create a new layer in the floor where the wall with the sub-areas is located (e.g., right-click on <code>Ground floor<\/code> &gt; <code>New layer<\/code>). Area texturing across multiple floors (Section view)<\/h4>\n<p>This method is particularly suitable for vertical elements like wood paneling that extend beyond floors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>[13:20]<\/strong> <strong>Create section:<\/strong> Create a section in the 2D view via <code>View<\/code> &gt; <code>New Section View<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>[14:08]<\/strong> <strong>Optimize display:<\/strong> Right-click in the section view &gt; <code>Properties...<\/code> &gt; check <code>Hidden line removal<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>[15:02]<\/strong> <strong>Insert with polygon:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Select <code>Construction<\/code> &gt; <code>Single 3D Surface<\/code> &gt; <code>Insert with polygon<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on an element (e.g., a wall) in 3D to which a new parallel surface should be created, and then draw the exact shape in the 2D section.<\/li>\n<li>Finish with Right-click &gt; <code>Complete with Enter<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>[17:28]<\/strong> <strong>Precision through guidelines:<\/strong> If necessary, use guidelines in the section view (under <code>2D &amp; Layout<\/code> &gt; <code>2D guidelines<\/code> &gt; <code>guideline<\/code>\u00a0&gt; <code>Numeric parallel guideline<\/code>) to align the surface exactly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>4. Pro tip: 2D Display in side views<\/h4>\n<p><strong>[21:01]<\/strong> <strong>Adjust 2D representation:<\/strong> To adjust the appearance of inserted 3D surfaces in 2D plans (e.g., side views), select the created 3D surface with the right mouse button, select <code>Properties...<\/code> &gt; and then click on the material button (e.g., <code>Tiles<\/code>). In the following dialog, click on <code>2D Display<\/code>.
