Internal light sources &amp; Environment light<\/h4>\n<p>The lighting of the scene is controlled via the internal light sources. The optimal values depend on whether you have activated &#8220;Ambient shadows&#8221; (see above) or not.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set the 3D view as the active view.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Call up the function:<\/strong> <code>3D Functions<\/code> &gt; <code>Internal light sources<\/code> (Right-click on the icon).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Scenario A: WITHOUT ambient shadows<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Light intensity sun:<\/strong> 65 % (Color: White)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Light intensity environment light:<\/strong> 30 % (Color: White)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Scenario B: WITH ambient shadows (Recommended)<\/strong> Since ambient shadows darken the image in corners, the basic brightness must be increased.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Light intensity sun:<\/strong> 50 % (Color: White)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Light intensity environment light:<\/strong> 50 % (Color: White)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><a ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cadvilla.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/dialog-sonnenstand_en.webp\"><img data-dominant-color=\"e9eaec\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #e9eaec;\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-16035 not-transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cadvilla.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/dialog-sonnenstand_en.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"649\" height=\"491\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h4>4. Sun position and season<\/h4>\n<p>For a three-dimensional representation with interesting cast shadows, the sun&#8217;s position is crucial.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Season:<\/strong> April (or September).\n<ul>\n<li><em>Reason:<\/em> In winter, the sun is too low (frontal, flat lighting); in summer, it is too high (hardly visible shadows under roof overhangs).
