Usually, it corresponds to the thickness of a skirting board and is assumed to be 1 cm by default. Because a skirting board slightly reduces the usable floor space along the walls, this value directly changes the net living space during area calculations. However, for visual 3D planning purposes, this value has no visible effects.<\/li>\n<li>Furthermore, you can subsequently adjust this value individually per wall side inside the specific wall properties.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, click <code>OK<\/code> to securely save your new settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>2. Changing Floor Properties in Existing Projects<\/h4>\n<p><em>Note: For this specific section of the video, a 2D view and a Section view have already been created side by side. Please note that section views are not included in the cadvilla basic version.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>[03:45] Select the Floor and Adjust Parameters<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Just like before, <code>right-click<\/code> on the target floor layer (here: <code>Ground floor<\/code>) inside the <code>Projects<\/code> panel and open the <code>Properties<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>Modify the <code>Rough height<\/code>, for instance, up to <code>3.20<\/code> m.<\/li>\n<li>Next, input a value of <code>0.16<\/code> m for the <code>Floor<\/code> structure.<\/li>\n<li>Then, set the desired value for the <code>Ceiling<\/code> to <code>0.24<\/code> m.<\/li>\n<li>Once you are completely finished, click <code>OK<\/code> to confirm and save the modifications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>[04:33] Verifying the Changes in the Section View<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Switch your active window focus to the created <code>Section view<\/code>.
