Updating the graphics drivers

If there are display problems in the 3D view, the driver of your graphics card may be the problem.
If 2 graphics cards are installed in the system (e.g. an additional internal INTEL graphics card), the graphics card that is not required (e.g. the internal INTEL graphics card) must be deactivated.

The driver of the active graphics card should always match the DirectX and openGL version used.

Even if Windows displays the graphics driver used as up-to-date when checking the device manager, please check that the graphics driver you are using is up-to-date with the manufacturer of the graphics card or the manufacturer of the computer.

If your computer is a complete package including graphics card, you can usually find the current graphics card driver on the website of the computer manufacturer of the computer system you are using (such as DELL, Samsung, HP, and many more). The graphics drivers, offered there, are usually specially tailored to your system.

If you have installed a standard graphics card in your computer, check the graphics card manufacturer’s website.

There are 2 major manufacturers of graphics cards – NVIDIA and AMD

Important: When selecting the graphics driver, make sure that it matches to your Windows version (e.g. WIN 10, WIN 11). It is also particularly important that a 64-bit graphics driver is used with a 64 bit operating system .

To determine the DirectX version you are using, press the Windows key + R . The Run dialog opens. There you type dxdiag and press the ENTER button .

To ensure that the Windows environment also matches the current graphics drivers, the Windows service “ BITS ” (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) from Windows should be activated. By default, this service is enabled.

This service is used for automatic Windows updates. If a Windows update is interrupted, it ensures that the download is automatically resumed at a later point in time.

You can find the setting for this Windows service under
Control Panels -> System and Security -> Administrative Tools -> Services -> Background Intelligent Transfer Service
